Sparkletastic! | Budget Wedding Blog

So it's almost 1 month until Christmas and the shops are packed with sparkle. This is one of my favorite times of year for shopping and I am a serious party dress addict.

If you fancy wearing high street and you want to go for something a little more glam than a boho lacy maxi then now is the time to hit the high street (or the virtual equivalent) because there are some beautiful frocks out there just waiting for you...

Long & Lovely

This gorgeous satin gown is just £45 from ASOS

Petite? How amazing would this head to toe sparkler look with a feathered cape for a glamorous winter wedding? At just £90 from ASOS it's a real bargain too!

Fancy something with a bit more detail? How about this beautifully beaded low back dress from Virgos Lounge at ASOS, a bit pricier at £125 but totally worth it

The simplicity of this floor length gold Plisse dress would look amazing with a wintery flower crown don't ya think?? Just £55 from Miss Selfridge!

This silver foil dress would look amazing with some faux fur as a cover up, very Narnia, and just £65 from Miss Selfridge

A more pricey option but this Adrianna Papell sequined gown has a real Jenny Packham vibe going on for a fraction of the price at £247.50

Short & Sweet

This adorable little satin slip dress, £75 from Topshop, would be perfect for a city party wedding in a cool alternative venue like a warehouse or nightclub

I absolutely love this little 20's inspired flapper dress, £105 from Miss selfridge, think wedding at a civic venue or art gallery with cocktails and canapes, plus it looks just like this gorgeous Phase Eight dress which is more than twice the price!

For a more laid back country do I love the detail on this embellished prom dress from Miss Selfridge

Colour me bloody beautiful

After something a bit more alternative and colourful?

Feel like a mermaid on your big day in this head to toe sparkler from Gina Bacconi at John Lewis, at £260 is on the more expensive side, but there are so many sequins! Plus it's still a darn sight more affordable than your average W-dress...

Another 20's style stunner, perfect for a registry office wedding and laid back reception, team with a faux fur stole and some beaded or feathered headwear for a fabulous flapper look. Dress by True Decadence at John Lewis, £40

If I were to plan my wedding again for Christmas time, this is what I'd wear, again a little higher on the price scale but this Alice Temperley dress has some serious wow factor and at £299 I'd give up the cake or something...

Get your Frozen on in this Ghost bias cut dress, £245 at John Lewis, team with some super soft cashmere to keep warm on these chilly winter evenings

Going for an all out Christmas vibe? This fab burgundy floor length gown, by Ariella Lizzy, £87.50, would look pretty perfect in front of an elegantly dressed tree, if you're wearing a strong colour like this then why not switch it round and get your maids in ivory?
